Mountain Dew Baja Blast

With 511 products in our Manhattan, Kansas local warehouse, it took more than just overnight to get familiar with my new job. Being a new hire, training took place and lasted till the middle of May. When school ended for the summer, I went full time, just in time for one of our most popular limited time products.

Before working at Pepsi, I had heard of the popular Taco Bell slush that only came out during the summer. My supervisor mentioned mid-May that we were getting our first truck with Baja on it this coming Wednesday, so we could sell it and have it on store shelves by Friday and into the weekend. This product sold like crazy. We even put a limitation on the product that we were only selling 12 packs to Walmart and Target until June 1st. Having to get my own opinion on this cash cow product, my boss let me have a can one day at work. Personally, I feel that the Baja Blast is better in slushy form, but it still lives up to its description as a "tropical lime storm" in a cold 12 oz can.
